First Real Post

Today I spent an hour or so with Dea smoothing and leveling the pole barn area. Waiting on the framing for the concrete before we can finish that up.

I spent the next three hours clearing slash (piles of downed trees and dirt resulting from clearing the drive) piles. Hard work, but well worth it. Not only does it look ugly, but major fire issue. Fortunately most of the down trees were rotting and light. There were a few that required the attention of the chainsaw. WooHoo; fun with power tools! We are having to burn the stuff I'm gathering so that it doesn't pile up too much.

I called it a day there due to major back pain and fatigue. Sucks getting old.
